The World Of Jadeey

Isn't it ironic, don't you think?

Friday, November 21, 2008
Last night there was a fly buzzing around the room being totally annoying. We have one of those bug spray things in our house that keeps a constant layer of poison drifting around the house making sure bugs only last about an hour in the house before they die. (Yeah, I'm sure it's good for us to be constantly breathing it in.)

Anyway, the fly started to die and suddenly flopped down onto Ingrid's chair. She was sitting on the chair at the time. Our exchange went like this:

Me: Did it just land on you? (I admit I was kinda laughing)
Ingrid: Yeah. And now it's in your mountain dew.
Me: (looked into my glass of mountain dew and saw the giant fly floating there) Crap.

Yep, there was a fly in my mountain dew. How ironic. Oh no, wait. It wasn't ironic at all. It was just bloody annoying.

Stupid fly.

We even have the same top ten all-time favorite movie list down to the number

I have decided that it is time for another list. As you all know, there are two things I love more than anything else in the world. The question has always been which do I love more, John Krasinski or Mountain Dew. Well folks, here it is, for the first time I publicly declare a favourite.

Why John Krasinski is better than Mountain Dew

1. Whenever I get an annoying song stuck in my head I can get rid of it by listening to (or imagining) John Krasinski singing Hero by Enrique Iglesias. (A much more pleasant thing to have stuck in my head!) Mountain Dew never helps me get rid of annoying songs.

2. If I could only take two things with me to a desert island they would be Mountain Dew and John Krasinski. If I could take only one thing, well I'd miss Mountain Dew but John'd keep me much warmer and more entertained. :-P

3. John Krasinski makes me laugh on a regular basis. Mountain Dew only makes me laugh when I think about their old tag-line - "There's nothing more satisfying than slamming a dew."

4. Cuddling up to a bottle at night isn't that pleasant. Cuddling up to John would be VERY, VERY pleasant!

5. (Look away for this one mum!) Sex with John Krasinski would be much more comfortable (and satisfying and NOT gross) than sex with a bottle of Mountain Dew.

6. John Krasinski makes a lot of money which he could share with me. Mountain Dew just costs me a lot of money.

7. Mountain Dew can't make a 'Jim face' to cheer me up.

8. John Krasinski would be a much better conversationalist.

9. John Krasinski doesn't ruin my teeth (although he does have an interesting effect on other parts of me!)

10. People will be jealous of me when I marry John. They would not be jealous if I married mountain dew - they'd just think I was a freak!

11. I think accents are sexy as hell. Mountain Dew can't even speak let alone do accents. John, on the other hand, is the master of accents.

12. John Krasinski looks GREAT with a shirt off. The Mountain Dew equivalent of a shirt off is no label and that just doesn't get me going at all.

13.

15.

I think those last three speak for themselves!

Can you help me unravel my latest mistake?

Sunday, October 01, 2006
I'm confused. So confused it scares me. There is something that has happened and it is going to have one of two possible outcomes. The confusion? I have no idea which outcome I want and still at least a week before I find out which it is going to be. I also have absolutely no control over which outcome it is going to be.

I'm 90% certain I want the answer to be outcome 1. I can't tear my mind away from the idea, it thrills me while scaring the shit out of me. There is so much wrong with wanting it yet at the same time I know I'm going to be utterly devastated if it's not the outcome I want.

The other 10% of me wants outcome 2 because I know it to be the sensible outcome to hope for. I shouldn't be wanting outcome 1, I'm insane to be not hoping for outcome 2 with my whole being.

So why do I want outcome 1 so badly? Am I really that self-desctrutive? Yes, I guess I am. Because without doubt it is what I want. It's not going to be the answer though and I should be steeling myself for disappointment. I can't though. My whole imagination is filled with the idea of what I will do if it is outcome 1, I imagine 100 different scenarios of how it will be. My goodness it is going to hurt when it doesn't happen like I'm hoping it will.

In other, less confusing news, I just drank a whole 600ml bottle of Mountain Dew and now feel very bloated and sick. Haha but I have no-one to blame but myself. Stupid lack of self control!
