The World Of Jadeey

That's nasty

Friday, May 08, 2009
Today I read about a person who was eating at an outdoor restaurant. After they had finished eating the waitress came over and cleared the rubbish and wiped down the table. The person then noticed that a blob of mayonnaise had been left behind. Normal people would ignore it, this person used their finger to wipe it up and eat it. Turns out it was actually bird poo....

I'm not sure what is worse:

That the person couldn't tell the difference between bird poo and mayonnaise
That the person would eat something directly off a public table - those things are DIRTY
That the person ate bird poo
That the person would actually want to eat a small blob of mayonnaise

Yep. It's a pretty gross story for so many reasons.

Bush fires

Wednesday, February 11, 2009
The bush fires going on in Victoria right now are awful. Yesterday I read that they have almost caught a couple of the arsonists that are to blame. Today I read that there is masses of looting going on around there.

Those things make me terrified. I cannot believe humans can do things like that. I hope those arsonists are feeling truly terrible about themselves right now. I hope they are caught. And I hope they are put away for life... Real life not the pretend life some criminals seem to get.

I also read that Australians have raised $30 million so far. Banks have contributed money, the Australian and NZ cricket teams sold gear, Australian cricket donated all the money they made from last nights game and regular people have donated money.

Those things make me feel good. Maybe not all humans are terrible.

Rubbish

Sunday, August 10, 2008
Last night (early this morning) I was driving home from Wellington. It was about 12.30am so there weren't many cars on the road. Suddenly the guy in front of me started throwing rubbish out his window.

I couldn't believe it! He threw his KFC box, drink cup and some other stuff right out the window onto the motorway! Why? Why would he do this? Why would anyone do this? How hard is it to just wait until you get home and throw it in the bin?

People make me sick sometimes!!

My poor baby

Sunday, October 08, 2006
No song lyric for the title of this post cos it's late at night and I can't think of one.

My poor baby (my car) got keyed. I'm gutted and can't figure out why someone would think that it's a good idea to destroy someone's car like that. It definitely wasn't personal - I was parked on the street in town so it was just random bad luck. I would kind of prefer that it was personal so at least I could think that I had it coming. Ha, not that I tend to spend much time pissing people off but you know...

The scratch goes all the way from the front to the back of the car and makes me sad every time I see it.

I could delve into an analysis of the psyche of the type of person who would participate in such a random act of mindless destruction but I will spare my poor readers the boredom of that. Instead I will just say that it sucks.

I should be going to sleep now I guess. I don't really feel like it though. I know that if I sleep then the next thing that happens will be getting up for work in the morning - I would like to delay that as long as possible. On the other hand, I don't want to spend the whole week like the walking dead so sleeping would make sense.

I think I will succumb to sensibility and head for bed. Until next time fair maidens and... uh... boys. (damn the late night - surely I could think of a better word than boys? Alas no, my brain is addled and will not supply an appropriate synonym.)

Every Hour of Every Day I'm Learning More

Sunday, January 15, 2006
The more I learn the less I know about before

I judge people very strongly on first impressions. Everyone does it and I know for certain I do. I met a guy last week who I hated instantly. He pissed me off cos one of the first things he said to me was a snarky comment. I'm not really too fond of being made fun of anyway. I can take it and give it back but only enjoy it if I know for certain it's said with love. As in I don't have a problem when it comes from family or really good friends. I don't mind it when it's said in a nice way and you know there is no malice behind it but there was with this guy - he was saying it because he thought he was superior to me and I HATE that. Due to that first impression I don't think I'll ever be able to like the guy.

I like to think I'm a fairly good judge of character anyway. Most of my friends are pretty great people, there is the odd exception but on the whole I think they are some of the best people in the world. I guess everyone thinks that about their friends though :-)

Applied for a job in Hamilton today. Not sure I'll take it even if I get it but thought it couldn't hurt to apply. Maybe a move will make my feet stop itching. Or maybe it won't - leaving HIM behind might just be a little to difficult for me at this stage.

Ok enough procrastinating - am actually supposed to be focussing on script writing at the moment, not writing in here.

Adios mi amigos
