The World Of Jadeey

Don't dream, it's over

Sunday, July 19, 2009
Okay let's face it, I haven't been properly blogging daily for a month or so. I pretty much have two choices at this point -

1. I can find the motivation, catch up with my missed blogs and start making sure I blog every day.
2. I can admit defeat and give in

I'm going to go with option 2. I've thought about it a lot and I'm just not feeling it anymore. So i'm going to go back to only blogging when I feel like it.

Thanks to everyone who has been there and followed me over the last couple of years. I hope I've provided at least a small amount of enjoyment/amusement.

Stay cool.

Should I stay or should I go?

So I've been really crap about keeping up with my blog lately. I'm starting to get pretty sick of this whole blogging daily thing. I would love to keep it up because I think reading it in a few years will be great - I'm just not sure I can be bothered keeping it up. Not enough happens in my weeks for me to write 7 days a week worth of interesting stuff.

I could give my opinions on a multitude of topics. But I don't think i'll actually be interested in reading that in a few years time. It's reading about what I was doing and how I was feeling that I'll be interested in.

As you can tell I'm pretty confused at the moment. I'm undecided whether to stop or keep going. I'll keep thinking about it, eventually I'll make a decision one way or the other.

I have 3 large chickens who ate prickly cacti without mayonnaise, which might just kill the bastards!

Kat and I are playing a new game. We email each other at work throughout the day and each of us has to add a new word to the subject line. If you forget to add a word then you have to write a blog using the subject line and actually make it about the subject. As you can probably guess from my title, I forgot a word today.

When I was a kid we had a bunch of chickens. Some were large and some were small. It was my job to feed them and collect the eggs. Most of the time I hated this job, but I tried to be dutiful and actually do it. I never fed them cacti. Or mayonnaise. We didn't have any cacti on our property, but if we did I think there's a chance they would have tried to eat them - without mayonnaise - chickens are not that bright.

So, had we had cacti on our property our chickens might have tried to eat them and the spikes (is that what they're called?) probably would have killed them. The other chickens wouldn't have learnt from the first one to try it and would have all done it too, therefore all dying.

In that case I would have been able to say, 'I have 3 large chickens who ate prickly cacti without mayonnaise, which might just kill the bastards!'

Pathetic again

I'm really glad the punishment clause of this blogging thing no longer applies. If it did I think people would have very real cause to invoke it this year. I know I really haven't written anything of substance this year, I promise I'll get better when I get more settled.

I think this week is going to be a week of going to work and then home to bed. I'm way too tired for anything else.

I got up at 5.30am this morning to watch President Obama's inauguration. I really have high hopes that he will make a difference to America. To the world. If nothing else he has given millions of people hope. That's got to count for something.

No more competition

Tuesday, November 11, 2008
Oh, and because that last blog technically breaks my old rules I better state that I am no longer doing this as a competition. So no punishments.

It is now just for fun. I will keep blogging every day (especially since I decided I wasn't going to do it as a competition way back when Kat did, yet have kept going with the actually blogging.) I can't seem to give it up at this point. So still lots of blogs. Just no rules.

Woo! :P
