Weirdness
The Pentagon today reported that they have successfully shot down an innactive spy satellite. That information, in itself, is not that interesting to me. What is interesting is that there is a small piece of the satellite left. The Pentagon has reported that the piece left is perfectly safe as it is small, only the size of a rugby ball, in fact.
A rugby ball?????? Why on earth did the Pentagon, AMERICAN'S, describe it as a rugby ball size. They don't play rugby! Do they even know what size a rugby ball is? Would normal American citizen's know what size a rugby ball is without having to think about it? It just seems like a very odd choice of comparison to me. A football would have made more sense, if you ask me. Perhaps they were worried British (and other soccer playing nations, who actually call soccer football) would have been confused by that.
